Catching Snowflakes
Catching Snowflakes
“Nature is full of genius, full of the divinity; so that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand.”
There is nothing that can replace the soft and graceful flutter of the first snow. This year, we were ready with pieces of frozen, black construction paper to use as “snowflake catchers”. We had a great time running around our backyard catching snowflakes in an attempt to capture a bit of the magic that resides within each one.
When we came inside we: learned a bit about snowflakes here and here, marveled at this video, studied this crafty video, made some hot chocolate, and then got busy making some snowflakes of our own.
