We had fun doing an “ant investigation” that came from a great book called, i love dirt! written by Jennifer Ward.  After reading about this experience I simply mentioned that I had learned about an “ant experiment” that I wanted to try.  Later that afternoon when the girls were playing in the yard they spotted  an anthill and got very excited about doing the “experiment”.
