We had a great trip yesterday to our local aquarium.  Although the girls have been to the same aquarium numerous times, their level of understanding deepens with each visit.  It is a ritual for us to read the book, My Visit to the Aquarium by Aliki, before we head out the door.  With each reading they remember things they saw during their last trip and get excited about discovering new things when we arrive. 

We found a great coloring book that helped to generate more interest and conversation after we returned home from the aquarium.  As we spend time this summer at the local bay and ocean beaches I will incorporate more facts and information into our daily learning experiences.
