Sand
Sand
"To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour."
-William Blake
We had a wonderful family trip to the beach today. During the car ride there we read the book, Sand by Ellen Prager. It prompted a stimulating conversation about sand, where it comes from, how it travels and what it is made of. While we were beachcombing we could see for ourselves all of the amazing things, such as quartz, shells and rocks, that make up our local sand.
