Children and Photography
Photography is a very powerful medium of self expression for children of all ages. Whether they are taking the snapshot themselves or staging a self-portrait and using an adult as an “assistant photographer”, photography can be utilized to develop a strong voice, academic skills and self-esteem within children.
This post written by the inspiring Tracey Clark, Expert of the Month at PBS Parents, inspired me to gather some resources on the topic. She also has a wonderful flickr pool called A Little Perspective, where you can add photographs that your children have taken.
Enjoy... and please share your photography experiences!
