True Colors: Natural Art Supplies
True Colors: Natural Art Supplies and a Giveaway
I recently discovered a wonderful company called eco-kids, which specializes in making safe and natural art supplies. Cammie, the founder, and her husband work together and exude a wonderfully positive energy that makes you feel good about supporting their company and using their products.
We have been in need of some play dough for a while now (I love to make it at home but never seem to get around to it), so we tried out their eco-dough. After playing with the eco-dough, it looks like I may never make another homemade batch again. Each pack comes with five vibrant colors that have a great, workable texture and will last for up to a year. The best part of the experience was the discussion we had about where the colors came from—beets, spinach, paprika, carrots, blueberries, tomatoes, etc. All seems right with the world when your children realize and embrace the fact that true colors do indeed come from the natural world.
After having such a positive experience with the eco-dough, I could not resist the eco-eggs (see below). We also had a great time with the eco-paints and eco-art pad, but I am saving that for another blog post!
The giveaway is now closed. Congratulations nessiev422!
